Engineering Experience

As a student, Diego interned with Delta Air Lines, General Motors, Eli Lilly, and Alanthus Associates.

After grad school, Diego joined Eaton Corporation in Silicon Valley, California, where he worked on electromagnetic component design for consumer electronics, hyperscale data centers, and medical device applications, including projects associated with Apple and Google.

In 2015, Diego joined Verdigris Technologies as one of its first employees, where he led the mechanical design and production of an electronic energy-monitoring system for commercial buildings.

In 2019, Diego joined Sorting Robotics (Y Combinator 2019) as its first employee and founding/chief engineer, where he led the development of robotic automation systems for the regulated cannabis industry in California.
